![]() ![]() Anything dex based humanoïd was somewhat tricky.īy taking the feat "advanced weapon training (Warrior spirit)" at level 7 and with gloves of dueling you get +3/+3 in both melee and ranged from the weapon training. In most cases, enemies already have shitty touch AC, and me not having a +4~5 to hit from not having high dex was perfectly manageable when every large+ monster lose 12 AC from natural armor.īasically, anything non humanoïd was usually easy target due to ignoring natural armor. Since firearms have no stat to damage unless you're an actual gunslinger, but can target touch AC, I decided to just ignore increasing my chance to hit. I decided to go with a high strength and wear heavier armor. Since I played a whole magus, I wanted to use a whole magus and eventually go heavy armor. No, the ranged attack of a firearm is solely based on dexterity to hit, and no stat to damage. There are more exotic options out there if you want to say, be a divine spellcaster instead, but yeah. Either way it's important you have Rapid Reload and be using Alchemical Cartridges so you can reload as a free action. If you want to use 2handed firearms instead of pistols, you need to be a Musket Master archetype Gunsliger 3/Eldritch Archer archetype Magus X. The other option is to go Gunslinger 1/Eldritch Archer archetype Magus X. It is the most "cast spells through your gun" kind of build though. But you won't actually be killing people by shooting them except in a flavour sense. The point of the build is to get high DCs on your spells via shooting them through your gun. You give up a ton of schools, so most Spellslinger wizards are really Spellslinger Wizard 1/Arcanist X, or Spellslinger Wizard 1/Sorcerer X. The build that has the gun but is really a spellcaster is Spellslinger archetype Wizard. What do you want to be, a person who can kill people with guns and also cast some spells, or a person who can cast spells and also have a gun? Either can cast spells through guns, but one will be shooting people and also it fires rays, while the other will be stuff like shooting a fireball out of a gun instead of just casting it, but it won't have much to do with shooting at all. /r/3d6 - For character creation, advice and sharing (system agnostic)./r/Battlemaps - For your VTT battlemap requirements./r/Tabletop - For your general tabletop gaming shenanigans./r/lfg - Looking For Group, find other players, etc./r/RPG - For general, non-Pathfinder related RPG discussion./r/Starfinder_rpg - For dedicated discussion of Paizo's Science Fantasy system and setting./r/Pathfinder_Kingmaker - To discuss the Owlcat-made computer RPGs. ![]()
